OSIR · The AI-Native Domain Registrar

Anycast DNS

Every domain at OSIR is served from an anycast nameserver network spanning three continents, with DNSSEC support and full record management from the dashboard, REST API, CLI, or an AI assistant. There is no separate DNS plan: it is included with the domain.

Frequently asked questions

How much does anycast DNS cost?
Nothing extra. Anycast DNS is included with every domain registered or transferred to OSIR, at no additional charge and with no record limits.
What are your nameservers?
ns1.osir.com and ns3.osir.com. Domains registered with OSIR already use them, so there is nothing to set up.
What is anycast DNS?
Anycast means the same nameserver address is announced from many locations at once. A visitor lookup is answered by whichever location is closest to them on the network, so responses are faster and a single site going offline does not take your DNS down.
Which record types can I create?
A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, and TXT records, which together cover websites, subdomains, email routing, and verification records such as SPF and DKIM.
How long do DNS changes take to apply?
Edits reach our anycast network within seconds. What takes longer is the rest of the internet forgetting the old answer, which is governed by the record TTL. Lower the TTL before a planned change so resolvers pick up the new value sooner.
Do you support DNSSEC?
Yes. DNSSEC signs your DNS answers so a resolver can verify they were not tampered with in transit. It is supported on every extension whose registry offers it.
Can an AI assistant manage my DNS?
Yes. The OSIR MCP server exposes DNS record creation, updates, listing, and deletion as tools, so an assistant connected to your account can make the changes for you in plain language.
