Renewing Your Domain
Keep your domain active by renewing before it expires. Here's everything you need to know about domain renewal.
Renewal Timeline
| Period | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 90 days before | First renewal reminder sent |
| 30 days before | Second reminder |
| 7 days before | Urgent reminder |
| Expiration day | Domain stops working |
| 0-30 days after | Grace period (renewal at normal price) |
| 30-60 days after | Redemption period (additional fees apply) |
| 60+ days after | Domain released for public registration |
How to Renew
Manual Renewal
- Log in to your dashboard
- Go to Domains
- Find the domain to renew
- Click Renew
- Select renewal period (1-10 years)
- Complete payment
Auto-Renewal (Recommended)
- Go to your domain settings
- Enable Auto-Renewal
- Ensure a valid payment method is on file
- We'll automatically renew 14 days before expiration
Renewal Pricing
- Renewal prices may differ from registration prices
- Multi-year renewals lock in current pricing
- Some TLDs have regulated pricing
Failed Renewal
If auto-renewal fails:
- We'll notify you immediately
- We'll retry the payment
- Update your payment method if needed
- Domain enters grace period if not resolved
Expired Domain Recovery
If your domain expired:
- Grace Period (0-30 days): Renew at normal price
- Redemption Period (30-60 days): Renew with redemption fee
- Pending Delete: Cannot be recovered

- Enable auto-renewal for important domains
- Keep payment information up to date
- Register for multiple years for peace of mind
