Transfer a Domain to Us

Moving your domain from another registrar is straightforward. Most transfers complete within 5-7 days.

Before You Start

Ensure your domain meets these requirements:

• Domain is at least 60 days old
• Domain is not locked at current registrar
• Domain is not expired (or within grace period)
• You have access to the admin email on file

Step 1: Unlock Your Domain

1. Log in to your current registrar
2. Find the domain lock/transfer lock setting
3. Disable the lock

Step 2: Get Your Auth Code (EPP Code)

1. Request the authorization code from your current registrar
2. This code is usually emailed to the admin contact
3. The code is valid for a limited time (typically 5-14 days)

Step 3: Initiate Transfer

1. Go to our transfer page in your dashboard
2. Enter your domain name
3. Enter your authorization code
4. Select additional years (optional)
5. Add to cart and checkout

Step 4: Approve the Transfer

1. You'll receive an email to approve the transfer
2. Click the approval link within 5 days
3. Your current registrar may also send a confirmation

• Existing DNS records (recommended to backup first)

• Email hosting (must be set up separately)
• Website hosting
• SSL certificates
