WHOIS privacy protection
WHOIS Privacy Protection
WHOIS privacy protection keeps your personal information hidden from public WHOIS lookups.
What is WHOIS?
WHOIS is a public database containing contact information for domain owners. This includes:
- Full name
- Address
- Phone number
- Email address
Why Use Privacy Protection?
Without privacy protection, your personal data is visible to:
- Spammers and telemarketers
- Identity thieves
- Competitors
- Anyone with internet access
How It Works
When you enable WHOIS privacy:
- Our proxy information replaces yours in the public database
- Your actual details remain in our secure system
- Legitimate contacts are forwarded to you
- Spam and unwanted contacts are filtered
